Hey @aahwhatever2 ,
It looks like Chrome is causing some issues related with background tasks. A few things that I can think of:
1. A rogue Chrome extension (plugin) that is causing crashes due to trashy/shady code.
2. Corrupted Chrome support files.
The first thing that I'd do is to go to the web address chrome://extensions and send a screenshot of what you have in there. If there's anything that I see that may cause problems, I'll let you know.
If that's not the case, then it'd be best to completely remove Chrome (and it's support files) by using a software like AppZapper or AppCleaner. AppZapper allows you to remove a 5(?) applications as a trial, but AppCleaner is completely free. However, I have not tested AppCleaner, though it should do the same as AppZapper.
Side note: Chrome has a "helper", or a background process, that runs in the background. This allows Chrome to open quicker (since it has files already loaded in memory), and it allows things such as Google Hangouts to show notifications when Chrome is closed. You should be able to disable this on macOS by following this guide. Skip the first two steps as that's for Windows.
